SKIING IN SPAIN AT VALDELINARES NEAR VALENCIA

Valdelinares is a very picturesque ski resort set in the pine-forested Sierra de Gúdar mountains and near to the major town of Teruel. Valdelinares is only an hours drive inland from Valencia - the third largest city in Spain. It's location means if you live on the northern Costa Blanca coast or on the southern Costa Azahar coast, then you can easily reach Valdelinares for a days skiing and be back home later that day. To find your way there take a look at our highly detailed Valdelinares map.

Here is the current Valdelinares weather and temperatures:

The ski resort of Valdelinares is situated at a height of 1,700 metres (with a maximum elevation of 2024 metres). Although high up it doesn't snow much, however skiing is now guaranteed due to over 117 artificial snow cannons. Most days at Valdelinares you will be skiing with clear blue skies. Temperatures can also be usually high for a ski resort so make sure you have plenty of sun cream.

Valdelinares is a very small ski resort. There are 7.5 kilometres of runs comprising of 9 runs, 3 green and 3 blue runs for beginners and 3 red for intermediates. Facilities at Valdelinares include a restaurant, five cafeterias. Ski lessons are available as is ski hire.

There are 10 lifts at Valdelinares including one 2-seater chairlifts, two 4-seater chairlifts, five button lifts and 2 magic carpets for beginners.

There is no accommodation at the ski resort of Valdelinares itself but at the bottom of the mountain there are a number of medieval villages such as Mora de Rubielos and La Virgen de la Vega which are very small and quiet but do have some lodges and hotels.

Experienced skiers will find the skiing in Valdelinares limited. We recommend a daytrip or a weekend at most. Note also that there is another small ski resort, Javalambre, very close by, this is also very limited with just 6.9 kilometres of pistes.

We also recommend the official site of Valdelineres ski resort
