IS IT SAFE TO DRINK THE WATER IN SPAIN?
Over the last few years the water system in Spain has improved markedly from the days when people were told not to drink the water from the tap.
Nevertheless people do still wonder if it is safe, especially those people who are visiting Spain with babies and young children.
The short answer is yes, the water in Spain is safe to drink although it may taste differently to the water in your home country. If in doubt or perhaps in more rural areas you may wish to purchase bottled water.
Agua con gas is fizzy water and agua sin gas is still. Buying bottled (mineral) water in Spain is very inexpensive.
