Cheapest Options For Airport Transfers to Villamartin

Villamartin is a 50 minute transfer time from Alicante El Altet and it is a good idea to hire a car either before you fly or at the airport itself.

San Javier airport in Murcia is closer to Villamartin at just 25 km but there is a more restrictive choice of flights to choose from. Here you can book daily flights with Ryan Air and Easyjet and the transfer time to Villamartin is only a twenty minute drive. Depending on what you would like to do on your vacation, you may not have to hire a car.

So how do you find the cheapest way of getting to your Villamartin accommodation from Alicante Airport?

Well there are three main ways of airport transfers to Villamartin:

Alicante Taxi to Villamartin. Taxi fares which are the simplest but most expensive can cost around €50 for driving you from Alicante to Villamartin. One just has to remember that you will be paying that again on your day of departure.

Getting a taxi from Alicante airport to Villamartin is a good option because there are unlimited airport taxis at all times of the day (and night) directly outside the doors of the arrivals terminal at Alicante airport. You won't have to wait around as you would with a bus and it will take you directly outside your hotel, villa or apartment in Villamartin.

Tip - Agree a fixed fare before you leave the airport so you know what you will pay. Some drivers may add airport supplements and baggage supplements so getting an agreed fare first before you get in the taxi is best.

Private Shuttle to Villamartin. Shuttle bus transfers are becoming more popular although once you are in Villamartin you will need to consider how to get to the beaches which are not within walking distance. Of course there is public transportation such as buses but you may wish to consider car hire instead.

The cost of a private shuttle bus airport transfer from Alicante airport to Villamartin is £30 per person one way.

The cost of a private shuttlebus airport transfer from Murcia airport to Villamartin is £64 per person one way.

The cost of a private shuttlebus airport transfer from Valencia airport to Villamartin is £160 per person one way.

Pre-booking a private shuttle bus from Alicante airport to Villamartin will get you a much cheaper rate than taking a taxi on arrival. As with a taxi, a private shuttle takes you directly to your Villamartin hotel or apartments in Villamartin.

The disadvantages could be that the airport shuttle also has other people going to other Villamartin hotels so it may not be as quick or direct as jumping into a taxi. A company called Shuttledirect.com are very reputable and cheap. The size of vehicle varies from small mini-buses to coach transfers to Villamartin.

Villamartin Car hire. Hiring a car from Alicante airport to get you to Villamartin is a great idea if you also want to explore the fantastic Costa Blanca area of Spain. Car hire from Alicante airport is very cheap so it could be a good option even if you don't intend to use the car much.

Villamartin is very much a compact beach resort with usually plenty of bars, restaurants and beaches within walking distance, so unless you want to go on a number of excursions you probably don't need to consider taking out Villamartin car hire.
