Four star hotels in San Juan are of a very high standard with many facilities available to you such as swimming pools, sauna, Jacuzzi, restaurants, breakfast should be included in the cost, parking, internet access etc.

Five star hotels in San Juan are the most luxurious standard of hotel possible and of course the most expensive. Expect the highest standards of service and quality. Most five star hotels in San Juan will have additional health facilities such as health and spa centres.

A really cheap alternative to staying in a San Juan hotel is to book into a San Juan hostel. Be advised that these hostels are very basic accommodation traditionally sought out by student travelers and backpackers on a budget.

Some hostels in San Juan will require you to sleep in a room with other guests and share bathrooms. In some cases there will be a strict time that you have to be in by which is no good if you want to sample the San Juan nightlife. Needless to say - staying in a San Juan hostel is the cheapest form of accommodation you can find in San Juan.
