Gata de Gorgos is a small market town located on the northern Costa Blanca close to the popular large seaside resorts of Javea and Denia. Set inland, Gata is in-between the inland towns of Pedreguer and Teulada.

Gata de Gorgos is one of the few towns with rail connections to Valencia and Alicante. Known as the Lemon Express it is known more as a tourist attraction to see the Costa Blanca sights than a commuter train. It is an interesting idea to be able to get to Alicante airport from Gata de Gorgos to Alicante and then catching a taxi to the terminals at El Altet instead of paying tolls, petrol and exorbitant parking fees. All round geographically Gata de Gorgos has good quick links to Benidorm, Altea, Calpe, Oliva and Gandia.

In Benidorm of course you can enjoy the theme parks of Aqualandia, Mundomar, Terra Mitica and Terra Natura and Aqua Natura.

The Safari Park at Vergel is also only a ten minute drive away. There are lions, tigers, leopards and wolves roaming around free in the park, which you drive through in your own vehicle. There is another area with domestic animals like pigs, ponies, and even seals and dolphins who put on a show. There are go-carts, mini trains and children's play areas.

Another fun day out ten minutes away are the caves at Benidoleig with stalagmites and stalactites some more than 300 yards long.
