Having arrived at Alicante airport how do you get to Campoamor and how do you find the cheapest way of getting to your Campoamor accommodation from Alicante Airport?

Campoamor has three beautiful golden sandy beaches ideal for family vacations. The main and safest beach is at La Glea which has a life guard service during the hot summer months. Sun loungers and parasols can be hired at the beach and there is a children's play area, volleyball nets, WC and foot showers.

Campoamor is a golfers paradise with fourteen golf courses all within an hours drive from Campoamor. The nearest golf course is three kilometres away from the resort centre and is called Lomas de Campoamor which is an eighteen hole course where rates start at €27 if you just want to play nine holes and €45 if you want to play the full eighteen holes.

The nearest Campoamor airport is Alicante airport but also San Javier Murcia Airport is not too much further to the south of Alicante airport (Ryanair fly there).

These are the main ways of airport transfers from Alicante to Campoamor:

Taxi to Campoamor from Alicante airport. Getting a taxi from Alicante airport to Campoamor is a good option because there are unlimited airport taxis at all times of the day (and night) directly outside the doors of the arrivals terminal at Alicante airport. You won't have to wait around as you would with a bus and it will take you directly outside your hotel, villa or apartment in Campoamor.

Alicante airport is the major hub serving both the Northern and the Southern Costa Blanca. Transfer time to Campoamor is around an hour by car and catching a taxi from Alicante will cost around 65 Euros.

Tip - Agree a fixed fare before you leave the airport so you know what you will pay. Some drivers may add airport supplements and baggage supplements so getting an agreed fare first before you get in the taxi is best.

Taxi to Campoamor from Murcia airport.

Campoamor is within easy reach of two international airports. San Javier near Murcia is the nearest hub bringing in new tourists and is a twenty minute by car transfer from the resort. For convenience sake many holidaymakers choose to catch a taxi at the airport which will cost in the region of 45 Euros.

Private Shuttle to Campoamor from Alicante airport. A shuttle transfer needs to be researched as there are many competitors out there and you do want to get the best possible deal. Booking a shuttle costs approximately £70 pounds return from Alicante for a family of four with their luggage or £100 for parties numbering five to ten people and £120 for more than ten people for a return service.

Pre-booking a private shuttle bus from Alicante airport to Campoamor will get you a much cheaper rate than taking a taxi on arrival. As with a taxi, a private shuttle takes you directly to your Campoamor hotel or apartments in Campoamor. Slight downsides could be that the airport shuttle also has other people going to other Campoamor hotels so it may not be as quick or direct as a taxi. A company called Shuttledirect.com are very reputable and cheap. The size of vehicle varies from small mini-buses to coach transfers to Campoamor.

There are many shuttle service providers to compare rates with including Sun Transfers, Blue Skies Transfer and Alicante Airport Taxis. These transfers are best booked at the same time as booking flights, villas or apartments to secure the best possible deal.

Private Shuttle to Campoamor from Murcia airport.

To save money holidaymakers can choose to book a private return shuttle transfer from Murcia to Campoamor which will cost around 72 Euros for a family of four.

Campoamor Car hire. Hiring a car from Alicante airport to get you to Campoamor is a great idea if you also want to explore the fantastic Costa Blanca area of Spain. Car hire from Alicante airport is very cheap so it could be a good option even if you don't intend to use the car much.

Holidaymakers who wish to just spend their holiday in Campoamor do not need to hire a car as the airports are so close by. Campoamor is also a fairly compact resort and the accommodations are within walking distance to the beach, shops, restaurants, supermarkets, chemists, post office and banks. Holidaymakers can walk to La Zenia and Cabo Roig for a change of scenery and have some fantastic meals and entertainment on the Cabo Roig Strip.
