HOW TO GET TO BENIDORM FROM ALICANTE AIRPORTMost visitors to Benidorm will no doubt be arriving at Alicante Airport - having said that Murcia Airport is not too much further to the south of Alicante airport and it now has many cheap flights as Ryanair fly there (amongst others). So having arrived at Alicante airport how do you get to Benidorm? Well there are four ways of airport transfers from Alicante to Benidorm: 1. Taxi. Getting a taxi from Alicante airport to Benidorm is a good option because there are unlimited taxis at all times of the day (and night) directly outside the doors of the arrivals terminal at Alicante airport. You won't have to wait around as you would with a bus and it will take you directly outside your hotel or apartment in Benidorm. Taking a taxi from Alicante airport to Benidorm is the quickest and most convenient way but of course because of this, also the most expensive. Expect to pay around 75 euros for the taxi fare from Alicante airport to Benidorm. Tip - Agree a fixed fare before you leave the airport so you know what you will pay. Some drivers may add airport supplements and baggage supplements so getting an agreed fare first before you get in the taxi is best. Tip - Most taxis from Alicante to Benidorm only can carry four people. 2. Private Shuttle. Pre-booking a private shuttle from Alicante airport to Benidorm will get you a much cheaper rate than taking a taxi on arrival. As with a taxi, a private shuttle takes you directly to your Benidorm hotel or apartment in Benidorm. Slight downsides could be that the airport shuttle also has other people going to other Benidorm hotels so it may not be as quick or direct as a taxi. A company called Shuttledirect.com are very reputable and cheap. 3. Bus. There is an airport bus from Alicante airport to Benidorm. Of course it is the cheapest option (only €7 one way) of getting to Benidorm from the airport but then again it does have disadvantages. At the time of writing there are only four runs per day in the off-season (although this rises to 13 times a day in the peak summer months) so it may not coincide with your arrival time. The bus stop is directly outside the arrivals terminal at Alicante airport at stop 29 and 30. It goes to Avenida Europa 8 in Benidorm. Do also consider the fact that when you arrive in Benidorm your hotel or apartment is likely to be some way from the bus terminal, meaning you probably will then need to get into a taxi. If you have lots of luggage you may struggle and the bus is generally very busy. 4. Car hire.
