Getting a taxi will be the most expensive airport transfer option but it is also the most convenient because as soon as you leave the airport terminal, the taxi rank is close by, you can get in and immediately be on your way to your holiday accommodation. These are private companies offering Alicante airport transfers by coach or by bus. if you are looking for a cost effective and cheap way of getting from Alicante airport to your holiday destination this is probably the best option. The advantage with a private bus, minibus or shuttlebus is that you are dropped off directly at your accommodation without the price tag of a taxi. The disadvantage is it takes longer as you may be just one of fifteen holidaymakers going to different parts of the resort. TRAIN SERVICES FROM ALICANTEThere were no trains directly from Alicante airport but there is the Lemon Express which operates between Alicante Station and Denia, but this involves catching a taxi from the airport into Alicante town centre and then waiting for the infrequent trains. On top of all this the train doesn’t stop at all of the resorts on the Costa Blanca, but only in Gata de Gorgos and Benidorm. The main train service between Alicante and Valencia only stops in Gandia. There are future plans to really develop the line but this will only take place in 2012.
